Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a Developer Relations Manager for Quantum Computing to engage national labs and federal researchers, drive adoption of CUDA-Q, cuQuantum, and NVQLink, and shape technical collaborations.

You will run workshops, present at conferences, build reference implementations, and cultivate a network across the federal quantum landscape while aligning with product and engineering teams to accelerate research and deployment.

Qualifications

• Master 's degree in physics, computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent experience. PhD preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in quantum information science, with 5+ years in the quantum computing industry or at a national laboratory or similar research institution.
• Demonstrated technical expertise across quantum algorithms, quantum error correction, or quantum hardware and control systems, with the ability to maintain a credible conversation with a principal investigator.
• Hands-on background in scientific computing, high-performance computing, or GPU-accelerated software development.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking to technical audiences.
• Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 40%) to national laboratories, federal sites, and conferences across the United States.
• This position requires U.S. citizenship and a security clearance. An active TS/SCI or DOE Q clearance is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain strong technical knowledge in quantum workloads important to the federal research community.
• Lead strategic collaborations with DOE national laboratories, the NQIS Research Centers, NNSA sites, and federally funded quantum programs across DoD, IC, NIST, and NSF.
• Partner with lab research teams and leadership computing facilities to plan, build, and embed the NVIDIA quantum stack - CUDA-Q, cuQuantum, CUDA-Q QEC, and NVQLink - into production research workflows.
• Conduct technical workshops, hackathons, and hands-on training sessions at national labs, user facilities, and federal research venues.
• Represent NVIDIA at scientific and technical conferences such as SC, APS Global Physics Summit, and IEEE Quantum Week.
• Monitor the federal quantum landscape to identify new opportunities in quantum simulation for materials and high-energy physics, large-scale quantum error correction, AI applied to quantum computing, or quantum digital twins.

Developer Relations Manager, Quantum Computing - National Labs and Federal (Finance)

We're looking for a passionate quantum computing expert to lead developer relations across this community. In this role you will define strategic collaborations, drive adoption of NVIDIA's quantum SDKs across federal research programs and serve as the technica l bridge between mission scientists and NVIDIA's product and engineering teams. You'll do this by gett ing in to the ecosystem - running workshops at user facilities, presenting at conferen ces, building reference implementations, and cultivating a network of collaborators across the federal quantum landscape. What you'll be doing:

• Develop and sustain strong technical knowledge in quantum workloads important to the federal research community. These include large-scale circuit and device-level simulation, quantum error correction with real-time decoding, hybrid quantum-classical algorithm development, and QPU integration with high-performance computing systems.
• Lead strategic collaborations with DOE national laboratories, the NQIS Research Centers, NNSA sites, and federally funded quantum programs across DoD, IC, NIST, and NSF. Identify high-impact problems NVIDIA is uniquely positioned to solve.
• Partner with lab research teams and leadership computing facilities to plan, build, and embed the NVIDIA quantum stack - CUDA-Q, cuQuantum , CUDA-Q QEC, and NVQLink - into production research workflows.
• Conduct technical workshops, hackathons, and hands-on training sessions at national labs, user facilities, and federal research venues. Represent NVIDIA at scientific and technical conferences such as SC, APS Global Physics Summit, and IEEE Quantum Week.
• Monitor the federal quantum landscape to identify new opportunities in quantum simulation for materials and high-energy physics, large-scale quantum error correction, AI applied to quantum computing, or quantum digital twins. Deliver organized insights to NVIDIA engineering and product groups to support the CUDA-Q, CUDA- Q QEC , Ising, and NVQLink roadmaps.
• Engage senior technical leaders, including division directors, principal investigators, chief scientists, and program managers. Collaborate to address architectural challenges such as QPU-GPU integration, real-time control, decoding latency, and the transition to fault tolerance.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

• Prior experience working at or with a DOE national laboratory, an NQIS Research Center, or other federal institution - particularly hands-on time at a lead ing computing facility.
• Familiarity with federal research funding, procurement, and collaboration mechanisms, and with how lab program offices set technical direction.
• Prior developer relations, technical evangelism, or solutions architecture experience in a research-facing role.
• Experience with quantum control stacks, QPU calibration, or real-time systems.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 224,000 USD - 356,500 USD for Level 5, and 272,000 USD - 431,250 USD for Level 6.
