Job summary

Renaissance Geek in San Francisco or US-remote by exception is seeking a senior community builder to create meetups, dinners, workshops, and other gatherings with complete logistics and follow-through.

You will launch and nurture a Discord community, participate in social conversations, and provide practical guidance on our products. You’ll demonstrate products publicly and grow your video/teaching skills while turning feedback into product improvements.

• You bring senior-level judgment and a track record of owning work from an ambiguous problem through a shipped result.
• You have deep expertise in something and curiosity that extends beyond it.
• You see what needs doing, exercise judgment, and follow through without waiting for a brief.
• You already use AI tools in your work and stay responsible for the result.
• You’ve brought people together and kept a community alive beyond its first event.

Responsibilities

• Create and run meetups, dinners, workshops, and other gatherings with invitations, logistics, hosting, and follow-through.
• Launch our Discord community and nurture it into a helpful, returning space.
• Be present on social, answer product questions with practical guidance, and connect people.
• Use real-project guidance so your input comes from experience in PRs and demos.
• Make short videos, demos, posts, and tutorials to help people learn what they can build.
• Turn recurring questions into feedback for the product team and drive meaningful participation.
