Job description

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain high-availability systems for 24/7 operations, implementing redundancy, health checks, monitoring, alerting, and backup/recovery solutions.


• Design and optimize database schemas, and implement/tune SQL for RDBMS platforms (Amazon RDS/Aurora, MS SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL).


• Develop, test, and maintain web applications, APIs, and batch processes to support business operations.


• Build and operate cloud-based systems on AWS (EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudWatch).


• Lead incident response efforts including initial investigation, recovery, root cause analysis, and implementation of permanent fixes.


• Execute regular maintenance activities including patching, releases, and performance testing.


• Drive technical implementation activities, release planning, deployment execution, and post-deployment validation.


• Partner with business users, project managers, infrastructure teams, InfoSec, QA, and external vendors to deliver technology solutions.


• Translate business requirements into technical designs and actionable implementation plans.


• Provide technical support during audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments.


• Perform other duties as required and participate in special projects as deemed necessary by Management.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

Experience

• 6-8 years of hands-on full stack Angular/Python developer experience in web application/backend systems.


• Experience with RDBMS (SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle, etc.): schema and index design, SQL implementation and performance tuning.


• Experience working in Linux environments (basic commands, log investigation).


• Practical experience with or strong understanding of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.


• Experience with or understanding of system monitoring tools (CloudWatch).


• Experience with or understanding of source code management, such as TFS/DevOps.

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other Office products.


• Must be versatile, able to work effectively independently or as part of a team on multiple projects simultaneously.


• Flexible to work beyond regular office hours at times based on business needs.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $120K-$145K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location.
