Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer with deep expertise in secure cloud platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, and policy-as-code enforcement. The role supports mission-critical defense programs requiring hands-on leadership in high-assurance environments.

The successful candidate will manage Azure Government IL5/IL6 environments, architect secure Kubernetes platforms, and drive Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps pipelines across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 15+ years of software engineering, DevSecOps, or secure cloud/platform engineering.
• Active U.S. Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Operate Azure Government IL5 and Azure Secret IL6 environments.
• Architect secure Kubernetes platforms using FluxCD, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps.
• Build and maintain Terraform configurations for Azure, GitLab, Artifactory, and developer platforms.
• Deploy and administer Coder Enterprise v2 for secure cloud-based development.
• Develop hardened container images and Helm releases for regulated workloads.
• Implement policy-as-code using OPA, Rego, Gatekeeper, and validation pipelines.
• Engineer air-gapped deployment workflows and secure artifact transfer.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance, security, and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate Azure Government (IL5) and Azure Secret (IL6) environments
• Architect secure Kubernetes platforms using FluxCD, GitLab CI/CD, and GitOps methodologies
• Build and maintain Terraform configurations for Azure, GitLab, Artifactory, and developer platforms
• Deploy and administer Coder Enterprise v2 for secure cloud‑based development
• Develop hardened container images and Helm releases for regulated workloads
• Implement policy‑as‑code using OPA, Rego, Gatekeeper, and advanced validation pipelines
• Engineer air‑gapped deployment workflows and secure artifact transfer mechanisms
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance, security, and platform reliability

Required Qualifications
