Job summary

BI Incorporated in Boulder, CO, seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalable and reliable services. The role collaborates across teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and improve security and observability.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in DevOps/Cloud, strong scripting skills (Python/Bash/PowerShell), and experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes. On-call rotations and agile practices are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Systems, Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• At least three (3) years of experience in DevOps, Cloud engineering, or related roles.
• United States citizenship required.
• Ability to receive client’s approval to work on contract required.
• Must live in the US 3 of the last 5 years (military and study abroad included).
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
• Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools CloudWatch, CloudTrail or ELK stack.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred.
• Experience with serverless architectures and microservices preferred.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps culture preferred.
• Understanding of network concepts, security best practice, and compliance standards.
• Strong development coding or scripting automation experience.
• Strong acumen for systems and technology.
• Working knowledge of database fundamentals.

• Manages container orchestration platforms.

• Serves as subject matter expert to assist with incident management resolution and root cause analysis.
• Participates in on-call rotation to support production environments.
• Monitors trends and developments in DevOps and systems technologies.
