Job summary

Raleigh Recovery Center, operated by Summit BHC, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its detox unit in Raleigh, North Carolina. The onsite RN will assess clients, develop and implement care plans, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment and accurate documentation of care.

Ideal candidates hold an approved nursing degree, an active RN license, and 1+ year of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or addiction recovery, with knowledge of

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• At least 1 year nursing experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice in an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address physical and behavioral health needs; develop care plans.
• Maintain medical records and educate clients and families.
• Transcribe and review provider orders accurately.
• Administer medications using at least two patient identifiers.
• Notify providers of significant changes in patient status or emergencies.
• Monitor effects of PRN medications and ensure safeguarding of medications.
