Job summary

Father Joe’s Villages in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Supervisor of Detox to lead a counseling team, provide direct clinical services, and oversee staff and operations in a 24/7 detox setting.

This full-time role requires a relevant degree and certifications, and involves coordinating care with partners, ensuring documentation standards, and maintaining a trauma-informed, client-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of substance use disorder or behavioral health experience with high-risk populations.
• DMC-ODS knowledge strongly preferred; CCAPP/CADTP certification preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substance use assessments, provide individual and group counseling, and develop treatment plans.
• Supervise counselors, interns, and staff with coaching and evaluations.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation for withdrawal and behavioral health needs.
• Coordinate with internal teams and community providers to connect clients with housing, medical, and supportive services.
• Review clinical documentation and support audits, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate staffing with the Program Manager to ensure consistent care across shifts.
• Foster a trauma-informed, client-centered environment.
