Job summary

Massachusetts-Detox-Centers is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians for the North Shore detox facility. You will monitor patient safety, lead groups, and support the care team across day and overnight shifts.

Per diem opportunities are available, and full-time staff receive comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Responsibilities include rounds, observation, patient transport, and documentation, with strict adherence to HIPAA and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Massachusetts Driver's License required.
• CPR certification and First Aid required.
• 1 year experience in SUD/Mental Health preferred.
• 12 Step knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient activity, location, and safety at all times.
• Conduct educational, recreational and therapeutic activities/groups.
• Observe and interact with patients in all areas of the facility.
• Complete rounds on time and check for life signs during rounds.
• Escort patients to groups, meals, and activities.
• Facilitate groups and complete required documentation per shift.
• Transport patients to appointments when necessary.
• Attend meetings to share interdepartmental information.
• Follow infection control guidelines at all times.
• Document shift reports and safety checks.
