Job summary

TransCor America in Estancia, NM is hiring a Senior Transportation Officer to oversee safe, secure transport of inmates and detainees. Start date is 08/09/2026 with a starting hourly rate of $24.11 and potential progression to $28.09 per hour after 6–9 months based on performance.

The role requires vigilant compliance with procedures, vehicle checks, incident reporting, and coordinating with Trip Management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to work changing hours.
• Must be 21 or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license or be willing to obtain one.
• Prefer Class A/B license or related corrections/security experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely and securely transport inmates, detainees, and residents.
• Monitor and supervise activity in transit and coordinate with trip management.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain required documentation.
• Maintain communications with management and other staff during trips.
• Apply restraints and use force only per policy and contract requirements.
• Assist as AOIC on trips when qualified and directed.
