Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED with equivalent college/specialized training.
• Must possess Basic Jail Officer and firearms certifications.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Background and medical review and polygraph will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Provide for the safety of staff and inmates and the security of the detention facility.
• Monitor jail access, cameras, alarms, and locking systems.
• Process inmates: booking, searching, photographing, fingerprints.
• Supervise meals, visitation, recreation, medical attention and headcounts.
• Communicate with law enforcement personnel, court personnel, and others regarding cases.
• Remain on call 24/7 for emergencies.
• Perform paperwork and maintain records.
