Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Good Moral Character, must pass background check, psychological evaluation, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing a variety of general law enforcement duties relative to the safety, detention, and security of prisoners on an assigned shift.
• Exhibits tact and firmness when dealing with violent, suicidal, or mentally disturbed inmates; exercises alertness and some independent judgment in unusual situations.
