Job summary

Snohomish County Facilities is seeking a Detention Lead Maintenance Technician to guide the maintenance team across 24/7 detention facilities. You will coordinate tasks, troubleshoot building systems, and supervise contractors while upholding safety and professional standards.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership and advanced troubleshooting skills, with on-call availability and proficiency in MS Office for reports and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of supervisory and skilled commercial building maintenance experience, including on-call work.
• Ability to oversee multiple buildings and coordinate with contractors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting and calendars.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise maintenance staff and contractors on building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security.
• Schedule work orders, establish priorities, and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and county conduct guidelines; provide safety training as needed.
• Maintain daily records and time cards; prepare written reports.
• Respond to emergency events and coordinate repairs as COOP coordinator when required.
