Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of inmate care, custody, and control practices and applicable rules.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal laws related to detention facilities.

• Experience communicating with diverse populations in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and remote supervision of inmates to maintain a safe environment.
• Conduct security checks, respond to incidents, and document actions taken.
• Process inmates during intake, manage property, and guide movement.
• Control and monitor inmates during visits and meals while ensuring health and safety.
• Perform metal/x-ray searches, searches for weapons, and complete reports.
• Operate a master control center and maintain facility security.
