Job summary

Scott County Fiscal Court in Georgetown, KY seeks a Deputy Jailer (Full-time) to maintain safety and custody at the detention center. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 21 years or older, US citizen, valid driver's license, and eligible to possess a firearm.
• Preference for prior detention, security, law enforcement experience; military service with DD214 encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for inmates.
• Enforce all facility rules and procedures.
• Carry out intake and release procedures.
• Conduct regular cell searches to deter contraband and ensure order.
• Identify problems, implement corrective actions, and support facility operations.
• Work 12-hour shifts with alternating 36-hour and 48-hour weeks.
