Job summary

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) seeks a Supervisory Behavioral Health Provider to lead facility behavioral health services for detainees.

The role includes clinical assessments, diagnosis, treatment, case management, and staff supervision, with collaboration across medical, custody, legal, and HQ stakeholders to ensure high-quality care. This position is limited to USPHS officers and CAD candidates, and requires coordination with IHSC and BHU HQ to manage SMI caseloads, comply

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology with unrestricted licensure.
• MSW with active clinical license and licensure in state/territory.
• Minimum 7 years post-licensure clinical experience.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.
• 20 hours of CEUs annually (APA or NASW) required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise behavioral health and substance abuse services within the facility.
• Conduct mental health assessments, evaluations, and DSM-based diagnoses for detained non-citizens.
• Provide counseling, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation.
• Document clinical care in EMR and coordinate with interprofessional teams.
• Coordinate with HQ and regional colleagues on behavioral health initiatives and compliance.
• Facilitate MDT meetings and oversee care plans for SMI cases.
• Develop safe release and discharge planning with BHU and ICE teams.
