Job summary

Detection And Treatment Resources is hiring a motivated Substance Abuse Counselor to work with defendants under federal probation/pretrial programs. The role includes conducting random observed urine and breath tests, and delivering individual and group counseling.

Responsibilities also include mailing UA samples, updating documentation, and communicating with probation officers about client status, while maintaining counseling notes and monthly progress reports.

Qualifications

• Substance abuse counseling experience preferred (1 year).
• State certification: California Substance Abuse Registrant or Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide random observed urine/breath testing.
• Deliver individual and group counseling sessions.
• Mail UA samples daily via USPS.
• Interact with Probation/Pretrial officers regarding client status.
• Complete counseling notes using computer applications.
• Prepare and submit Monthly Progress Reports.

HIRING ONE COUNSELOR. DTR is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our team. This position is for a male Detection Substance Abuse Counselor who will provide random observed UA/BA urine/breath testing with federal government contracts. The position entails providing services to defendants/offenders who need Substance Abuse Outpatient Treatment through local Federal Probation/Pretrial agencies.

Job duties would include but not be limited to the following:

• Provide random observed urine/breath testing
• Providing Individual and Group Counseling
• Mailing of UA samples daily via the US Postal Service
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Applications
• Communicate on a regular basis with United States Pretrial/Probation Officers regarding client recommendations, concerns, and/or status updates.
• Utilize computer applications to complete counseling notes
• Complete Monthly Progress Reports

The ability to sit at a desk, use a keyboard, write, and physically perform other job duties. Specific qualifications may vary based on the designated assignment.
