Job summary

LangChain is seeking a hands-on detection and response engineer to safeguard our production platform, cloud infrastructure, and agentic workloads. You will help translate threat models and incidents into telemetry, detections, and durable defenses, partnering with Product Security to implement secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, with experience in detection engineering, security operations, or incident response.
• Strong software engineering in Python or Go and production code experience.
• Experience with cloud and Kubernetes detection depth, including GCP/AWS logging and telemetry.
• Ability to model attacker behavior, hunt across complex systems, and test detections.

Responsibilities

• Own the detection lifecycle: translate threat models and incidents into telemetry requirements and detections.
• Build security monitoring and telemetry end-to-end across cloud, Kubernetes, and control planes.
• Engineer investigations and threat hunting workflows for proactive defense.
• Use agents to scale the team by triaging alerts and accelerating investigations.
• Lead incident response and participate in on‑call rotations with postmortem-driven improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Security to integrate threat findings into secure designs.
