Job summary

LangChain is seeking a hands-on detection and response engineer to secure our production platform, cloud infrastructure, and agent workloads. You’ll build telemetry, detections, and durable defenses in collaboration with Product Security, while scaling security operations with automation and AI-assisted tooling.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in security engineering with strong Python/Go skills, extensive cloud and Kubernetes experience, and a pragmatic product mindset to ship secure, scalable

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security engineering, with experience in detection engineering, security operations, or incident response.
• Strong production-grade software skills in Python or Go.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS) and Kubernetes telemetry.
• Familiarity with threat modeling, hunting, and postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Translate threat models and incidents into telemetry and detections-as-code.
• Design end-to-end security telemetry across cloud, Kubernetes, and control planes.
• Build tools for proactive threat hunting and incident containment.
• Develop automation and AI-assisted security workflows for scalable operations.
• Lead on-call incidents, scope, and postmortems driving durable engineering changes.
