Job summary

CMC is seeking an experienced supervisor for rebar detailing to lead project teams in our Texas operations. You will assign detailers, manage workflows, monitor quality, and collaborate with management on cost projections and invoicing. Travel up to 20% may be required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum as a rebar detailer or equivalent industry experience.
• 3 years minimum in supervision including customer relations and dispute resolution.
• Strong communication, motivation, performance evaluation and customer service.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and occasional overnight travel.
• Basic knowledge of standard business practices and human relations.

Responsibilities

• Review and assign project manager/detailer to projects with the required skill set.
• Assign rebar detailing work efficiently per customers' delivery needs.
• Oversee productivity and quality of detailers to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Produce reports for management as requested.
• Review and approve invoices.
• Attend preconstruction meetings and project conference calls when necessary.
• Manage UKG time system for the department and employee performance reviews.
• Create SAP Purchase Requests for outside detailing costs and costs.
• Manage the hiring and training of new detailers.
• Project detailing cost projections and forecasting.

What You'll Do

• Review and assign project manager and/or detailer to project with the sufficient skill set

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a rebar detailer or equivalent industry experience preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a supervisor required; to include experience in customer relations and resolving problems and/or disputes
• Effective skills in communication, motivation, performance evaluation and customer service
• Ability to travel up to 20%, with occasional overnight travel required
• Basic knowledge of standard business practices and human relations

Your Education

• Two year technical degree from an accredited school or college preferred
• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting issued from an accredited school or college, or equivalent work experience preferred
