Mossy Auto Group is seeking an Automotive Detailer to join our team in the San Diego area. You will clean and refurbish new and pre-owned vehicles, conform to dealership and manufacturer specifications, and meet time allowances.

We offer a clean, safe environment with growth opportunities. Base hourly pay ranges from minimum wage to $22.00/hr, plus comprehensive benefits and paid training.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail required for inspecting and cleaning vehicles.
• Strong customer service mindset for showroom interactions.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

• Clean driving record and valid CA driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle for dents, scratches and upholstery issues.
• Restore and refurbish using appropriate materials.
• Wash, wax, buff, and clean interior/exterior windows.
• Apply cleaners to remove foreign material and dirt.
• Vacuum and scrub interior with proper tools.
• Clean engine and engine bay with steam-cleaning equipment.
• Apply tire dressing and maintain tire wells.
• Use specialized cleaners to keep vehicles clean long-term.
• Operate tools safely with proper protection and report safety issues.
• Maintain showroom and stock vehicles in clean, presentable condition.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting vehicle for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery
• Restoring using appropriate materials
• Wash, wax, and buff the vehicle, clean interior and exterior windows
• Applying special-purpose cleaner to remove foreign materials
• Vacuum and scrub interior of vehicle using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices
• Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment
• Apply dressing on tires and tire wells
• Utilize special purpose cleaners to ensure lasting cleanliness of vehicles
• Operate all tools in a safe manner by using proper eye, hand & body protection
• Report any safety issues immediately to management
• Maintaining showroom and stock vehicles in clean & presentable conditions at all times
