McDonald Automotive Group is seeking a Reconditioning Detailer to thoroughly clean and detail vehicles at our Hyundai location in Colorado. You will present a spotless vehicle to customers and uphold brand standards with a positive, professional attitude.

The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and teamwork. A high school diploma is required, with 1–3 years in service/detail, and a valid driver's license. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of service/detail shop experience preferred.
• 1 year automotive/detail experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and detail vehicles for customer delivery and lot presentation.
• Detail, wax, polish, and refurbish vehicles including older models and collision repairs.
• Inspect finished work to ensure highest quality.
• Understand and meet specific customer requirements.
• Maintain and safely operate detailing tools and equipment.
• Report any vehicle or equipment damage to the supervisor.
• Coordinate work with team members for efficient service.
• Maintain high standards to represent the dealership positively.
• Complete opening or closing duties as scheduled.
• Follow all safety policies and report accidents to management.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

About Your Role

The Reconditioning Detailer is responsible for cleaning cars at the dealership, maintaining safe, clean equipment, and displaying a positive, professional attitude to customers and coworkers. This position is responsible for performing a complete detail cleaning of the interior and exterior of all automobiles’ makes and models. They are responsible for providing fast, accurate, high-quality, and efficient service.

This position will be based at our Hyundai location, a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility featuring modern equipment, advanced technology, and a clean, professional work environment.

Essential Duties And Major Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and detailed vehicles both for customer delivery and presentation on the lot.
• Cleans, waxes, polish, refurbishes, and detail collision-damaged vehicles, as well as old and new vehicles.
• Inspect finished products to ensure the highest quality service.
• Understand and deliver on specific customer requirements.
• Maintained proper function of all service tools and equipment.
• Directly report any damage to the supervising manager in a clear and timely fashion.
• Coordinate and arrange work effectively with team members.
• Maintain excellent standards and quality of service to represent the McDonald’s dealership positively.
• They take pride in their finished product, strive for excellence in their work, and focus on the expected attention to detail.
• Cleans and maintains the detail bay daily.
• Follows and adheres to all company safety policies, rules, and training.
• Completes specifically assigned opening or closing duties based on scheduled shift.
• Follows Company safety policies and practices and immediately reports all accidents to the Manager/Supervisor.
• Assists with other duties as assigned.
• Follow scheduled hours as defined by your manager.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Type Of Experience Needed To Be Successful

• 1-3 years of experience in service and/or detail shop is preferred.
• 1 year of automotive or detail experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving records.
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models, and sizes.
• Desire to continue learning and ability to adapt to changes in technology and equipment.
