Job summary

BerryDunn is seeking a Tax Processing Specialist to join our ATAT Services Support Team. This in-office role supports the firm’s tax service teams from Portland or Bangor, Maine, reporting to the Tax Operations Manager.

You will manage tax return processing, reviews, and client communications to ensure timely, accurate deliverables. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational and client service skills, detail orientation, and adaptability in a fast-paced, due-date-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Prior tax processing or preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat; familiarity with CCH Axcess.

Responsibilities

• Print, assemble, and electronically deliver various types of tax returns for clients.
• Perform quality reviews of tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
• Communicate with clients, colleagues, and management regarding processing and deliverables.
• Monitor, prioritize, and manage client deliverables and filing deadlines.
• Ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule while following up on outstanding items.
• Demonstrate teamwork and adaptability during peak tax seasons and deadlines.
