Position Summary

We’re seeking a hands-on, customer-focused Desktop/Laptop Support Technician to join our IT team in providing deployment, break/fix, and technical support services across our senior living facilities. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our staff and operations teams have reliable access to the technology they need—whether that’s provisioning devices, troubleshooting issues, or supporting upgrades.

This is an on-site position ideal for someone who thrives in a user-facing, fast-paced environment and enjoys supporting a meaningful mission of care and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform deployment, imaging, and configuration of desktops, laptops, and peripheral equipment for new hires and hardware refreshes.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues (break/fix), escalating to vendors or senior staff when necessary.
  • Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support for MS Office 365 applications, Windows 10/11, and common desktop software.
  • Maintain and update Active Directory objects, including user accounts, groups, and device records.
  • Assist with mobile device setup and support.
  • Maintain inventory and documentation of hardware assets and deployment activities.
  • Provide in-person and remote support to users across multiple sites, ensuring prompt issue resolution and exceptional customer service.
  • Support A/V setups for meetings, presentations, and events.
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on continuous improvement efforts and project-based work (e.g., system rollouts, software upgrades).
  • Offer guidance and informal mentoring to junior techs or interns as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a desktop support or IT field services role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows desktop environments.
  • Experience with Active Directory for user/device management.
  • Familiarity with hardware troubleshooting and repair (laptops, desktops, printers).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with non-technical users.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in healthcare, senior living, or similar regulated environments.
  • Exposure to BI/Analytics tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Familiarity with A/V support and meeting technology setups.
  • Experience mentoring or training other technicians or interns.
  • CompTIA A+, Microsoft certifications, or similar industry credentials.

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $22.00/hr. - $30.00/hr. (approx. $44,000 - $60,000 annualized). Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
