Job Title: Desktop Support Technician

Duration: March 17, 2025 - December 31, 2025

About this Position:

The Desktop Support Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance to internal end users. This includes diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, installing applications, setting up user accounts, and troubleshooting problems related to desktop computers and peripherals. The technician will act as the first point of contact for users through the help desk system.

  1. 5+ years of Desktop Support or equivalent (strong understanding of computer hardware and software support)
  2. Proficiency in troubleshooting techniques
  3. Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with users
Responsibilities/Tasks:
  • Identify and resolve issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, network connectivity, and peripherals.
  • Diagnose and fix network issues such as connectivity problems, DNS errors, and IP conflicts.
  • Install and update applications, drivers, and operating systems on user workstations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
  • Resolve hardware issues including faulty RAM, hard drive problems, peripherals, and monitor issues.
  • Implement security policies, including password management and software updates.
  • Log, track, and prioritize user issues within the ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Provide basic training on new applications or features.
  • Coordinate with end users to verify functionality and correctness with department heads.
  • Collect data and generate reports.
Skills Needed:
  • Proven experience as a Desktop Technician or similar role
  • Network Troubleshooting Skills
  • Experience in an enterprise or corporate setting
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS and imaging software
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and compliance is a plus
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
  • Same as above, emphasizing experience and skills related to enterprise environments and certifications

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range is $23.00/hr. Eligibility for benefits depends on employment specifics and may include:
