Job summary

System One is seeking a Desktop Packaging Engineer to support enterprise packaging, deployment, and endpoint management across multiple Windows desktop environments. You will create, test, and maintain software packages (MSI/MSIX/App) ensuring security, reliability, and automation in a regulated financial services context.

Collaborating with infrastructure, security, and operations teams, you will drive standardized packaging practices and contribute to cloud-integrated desktop management

Qualifications

• 2+ years in desktop engineering, packaging, or deployment support.
• Hands-on with MSI, MSIX, and App packaging.
• VMware Workspace ONE experience required.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and deployment logic.
• Experience with Intune, SCCM/MECM, InstallShield or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of Windows 10/11 and enterprise configs.
• Experience deploying at scale in regulated environments.
• Awareness of security, patching, and compliance in financial services.

Job Title: Desktop Packaging Engineer

Type: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise desktop application packaging, deployment, and endpoint management within a highly regulated financial services environment.
• Create, test, troubleshoot, and maintain software packages used across Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop environments, focusing on reliability, security, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Work closely with infrastructure, endpoint engineering, application, security, and operations teams to ensure software is packaged and deployed consistently across large scale enterprise environments.
• Support cloud integrated desktop management processes, especially in environments relying heavily on AWS hosted systems and modern endpoint management practices.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in desktop engineering, desktop application packaging, or application deployment support.
• 2+ years of experience managing application deployments across enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with application packaging technologies including MSI, MSIX, and App.
• Strong hands‑on experience with VMware Workspace ONE (Mandatory).
• Strong PowerShell scripting experience for automation, packaging, installation logic, validation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with deployment and endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM, InstallShield, or similar enterprise management platforms.
• Ability to build, test, troubleshoot, and maintain application packages across enterprise desktop environments.
• Solid understanding of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems, including registry, file systems, permissions, services, Group Policy, and endpoint configuration.
• Experience supporting large scale software deployments in a controlled enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with change management, release processes, documentation, and production support standards.
• Understanding of security requirements, vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance expectations in financial services environments.
• Experience working with AWS heavy or cloud integrated environments is preferred, especially where desktop tools connect to cloud hosted infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to collaborate across infrastructure, security, application, and operations teams.
• Comfortable documenting packaging standards, deployment instructions, known issues, testing results, and rollback procedures.
