Job description

About Us

Centric Brands is a leading lifestyle brand collective that designs, sources, markets and sells high quality products in multiple segments, including women’s, men’s and kid’s apparel, accessories, entertainment and beauty. Centric Brands is focused on our customers and our brands that will drive the company’s future growth. We are defined by innovation as we seize new opportunities and thrive in an environment informed by creativity and thinking that is both analytical and outside the box. Centric Brands reflects a team built on respect, for others and for the hard work it takes to achieve our goals and build our bright future together.

Designer

What could be more exciting than putting your mark on some of the world’s most famous and well-loved fashion brands? As a designer for Centric Brands, you’ll use your skills and creativity to create designs based on style plans, sales needs and emerging trends. You will also ensure that your work can be transformed into a finished product in a timely manner and at an appropriate price point. This means working not only with our technical design and production teams, but also building collaborative relationships with outside vendors and other external stakeholders. The challenges are exciting and the possibilities endless – as you contribute your skills in a vibrant, customer- and people-centric culture that celebrates you as a valuable member of the team.

Specific Responsibilities Would Include

This role executes the seasonal design development process, from concept to delivery, by creating and executing original, trend appropriate design concepts that meet market needs and drive sales and ensuring the timely execution of each stage in the process.

Working directly with the Design Director on strategy while independently driving color development, tech pack execution, packaging, elastic development, and cross-functional reviews through to production handoff. This is a genuinely full seasonal cycle, not a single-track design role: color, construction, packaging, and channel-specific product all sit with this seat.

The workload spans four channel variants in addition to mainline (an outlet channel, an off-price channel, a club/mass channel, and ad hoc retailer exclusives), each with its own color, assortment, and packaging logic. Realistic bandwidth planning matters here — this is not a role that can be done well as a side task alongside a single mainline focus.

  • Support the seasonal color proposal process by coloring up 3D files, preparing presentation materials, and incorporating feedback from licensors, sales, and design teams.
  • Assist with print assortment management by tracking placement requirements, maintaining assortment tools, and helping rebalance prints throughout the season.
  • Contribute to novelty elastic development through artwork preparation, strike-off reviews, color updates, and assortment maintenance.
  • Support the packaging development process by preparing artwork files, coordinating updates in PLM, and creating 3D visualizations for line sheets and sell-in materials.
  • Create and maintain tech packs in PLM, ensuring product information is accurately documented and updated throughout development.
  • Participate in BOM review sessions, making updates and corrections in PLM to support accurate product setup prior to vendor release.
  • Attend fit and wear-test sessions, document feedback, and partner with Technical Design, Product Development, and Production teams on updates and revisions.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of seasonal sell-in presentation materials, line sheets and other sales support tools.
  • Maintain organized design files, seasonal artwork libraries, and product development documentation.
  • Support the design team in executing seasonal concepts, colorways, graphics and product details that align with brand direction and licensor requirements. Execute the color and product plan for all four channel variants (outlet, off-price, club, and special make-up), each on its own timing and approval logic.
  • Partner with the Design Director on licensor relationship management and represent the line directly in licensor and sales working sessions as needed.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
  • 4-6 years of design experience in apparel, ideally intimates, bodywear, or another fit-sensitive category.
  • Strong working knowledge of a PLM system, BOM construction, and product lifecycle management from concept through production handoff.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign; experience with 3D visualization tools (e.g. Browzwear, Clo, Rhino) is a strong plus, not required.
  • Experience working within a licensed brand environment or supporting licensor approval processes is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Production, and Sales teams.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to follow established processes while contributing creative ideas and solutions.
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a willingness to take initiative and continuously learn in a dynamic environment

In return, we provide an industry-competitive salary, along with a comprehensive benefits plan (medical, dental, vision) that includes a matching 401(k), Summer Fridays, generous PTO, merchandise discounts, excellent career development opportunities, and a work environment that reflects our industry leadership.

Salary Range: 85,000
