Job summary

Ralph Lauren's Polo Men’s Knits division is seeking a designer to design and develop knitwear that blends modern active sport lifestyle with heritage. You will create CADs, line sheets, and technical specs while researching trends and presenting concepts to senior management.

Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, and global teams to ensure color, cost, and execution, maintain tech packs, and explore fabric innovation with the Knits team.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field; knitwear experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and PowerPoint.
• Experience with PLM systems and strong organizational and project management skills.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted design tools; Browzwear 3D design exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inform design direction through market research, competitive shopping, trend analysis, and digital reviews.
• Produce design materials: CADs, line sheets, flat sketches, artwork layouts, trims, and tech specs.
• Develop seasonal concepts and present design narratives to senior management.
• Design logos and graphics for prints, embroidery, patches; collaborate with Graphic/Print teams.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, global partners, overseas teams, and vendors on design, color, cost.
• Maintain tech packs, participate in fittings, and uphold design integrity and fit.
• Partner with Polo Men's Knits on design development and fabric innovation.

Summary

Design and develop Polo Men's knitwear within the World of Sports and Special Projects division. Create versatile, brand-right products that blend a modern active sport lifestyle with Ralph Lauren heritage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research, competitive shopping, trend analysis, and digital landscape reviews to inform design direction.
• Create design materials, including CADs, line sheets, flat sketches, artwork layouts, trims, and technical specifications.
• Develop seasonal concepts and present design narratives to senior management.
• Design logos and graphics across prints, embroidery, patches, and all-over executions; partner with Graphic and Print teams on seasonal print concepts.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Product Development, global partners, overseas teams, and vendors to align on design, color, cost, and execution.
• Maintain accurate tech packs, participate in fittings, and uphold design integrity, aesthetic, proportion, and fit.
• Partner with the Polo Men's Knits team on design development and fabric innovation.

Requirements

• Degree in Fashion Design or a related subject preferred; relevant industry experience required, with knitwear experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with PLM systems and strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with AI-supported design tools; exposure to 3D design platforms such as Browzwear is a plus.
