Job summary

PKA Architecture in Minneapolis is seeking a Designer to join our Uptown studio. You will support project teams from schematic design through construction documents, developing 3D models and coordinating drawings with engineers and consultants.

The position focuses on high-end residential work and growing a diverse portfolio, collaborating with Principals and Project Architects. Licensure is not required, though licensed candidates are encouraged to apply; benefits include health/dental, life

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in high end residential design and documentation.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Effective time management and sense of urgency.
High degree of organization and ability to adjust priorities quickly.
General knowledge of construction methods and drafting.
General knowledge of detailing and coordination of drawing sets.
Licensure is not required, but licensed candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with production of drawings for presentations and construction documents.
3D modeling for iterative design and documentation/rendering.
Coordinate changes in drawings.
Coordinate and fill out product and finish schedules.
Work directly with consultants and engineers.
Participate in design meetings.
