Simon & Schuster, a global publishing leader, seeks an Interior Book Designer to design and lay out fiction and nonfiction for the adult division. This role handles about 50 projects per year and requires Adobe InDesign expertise and a strong book interiors background.
You will input corrections, build structured InDesign files, and collaborate with Production Editorial to ensure manuscripts and designs code cleanly from manuscript to finished product, while understanding production standards.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
