COOKFOX Architects, a New York City–based studio, seeks a creative Interior Architectural Designer with 3+ years of professional experience to join our team. You will lead interior architecture work from concept generation and residential layout development to finishes, millwork detailing, and coordination with MEP and lighting in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

COOKFOX Architects is seeking a creative Interior Architectural Designer with excellent design skills and 3 or more years of professional experience to join our studio. Candidates should have a passion for designing healthy, sustainable, beautiful interior environments. We are looking for motivated, proactive and detail-oriented individuals who are comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative studio environment. Responsibilities focus on interior architecture scope from generation of design concepts and development of residential layouts to selection of finishes and fixtures, architectural and millwork detailing, and coordination of different trades including MEP and lighting.

Candidate qualifications:

• 3 or more years of professional experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• Experience working on interior architecture scope: high-end, multi-family residential experience preferred

• Strong graphic and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with time management skills
• Professionalism in dealing with a variety of clients, consultants and vendors
• Familiarity with accessibility and local building codes preferred
• Interest in sustainable design and healthy building materials
• Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite required; SketchUp, VRay and/or Enscape, and AutoCad a plus

Salary range is $70,000-$80,000 annually. Consideration is based on experience and skill level.
