Job summary

PURVIS Systems is a technology solutions partner that develops, implements and maintains mission-critical solutions for federal and local government agencies. PURVIS has immediate full-time openings for an Electrical Designer/ Drafter to support U.S Navy system designs and development.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing Government Furnished Information (GFI) and engineering drawing redlines, updating drawing packages with AutoCAD and Excel, and ensuring drawings follow standards.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years professional experience.
• Ability to review engineering drawings and understand required changes.
• Experience with CAD programs, such as AutoCAD is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word is preferred.
• Technical school or Associates degree is not required, but is a plus.
• Knowledge of existing submarine systems, Military Specifications, and previous defense industry is a plus.
• Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.

PURVIS has immediate full-time openings for an Electrical Designer/Drafter to support U.S Navy system designs and development.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:

• Review of Government Furnished Information (GFI) and engineering drawing redlines to incorporate into drawing package as required.
• Review of engineering drawing redlines.
• Update and maintain electrical drawing packages using AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

• Ensure drawings follow standards and practices.
• Drawing packages may include production drawings, circuit card assemblies, parts lists, connector/cabling wiring tables, schematic diagrams, functional block diagrams, test, and assembly fixture drawings.

Qualifications:

• 0 - 3 years professional experience.
• Ability to review engineering drawings and understand required changes.
• Ability to work closely with Subject Matter Experts and Navy military and civilian personnel.
• Experience with CAD programs, such as AutoCAD is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word is preferred.
• Technical school or Associates degree is not required, but is a plus.
• Knowledge of existing submarine systems, Military Specifications, and previous defense industry is a plus.
