Designer – RAD Science
We are seeking a designer to join our team to produce innovative and compelling scientific art and medical education. Graphic designers create digital, print, and interactive content for a variety of experiential media types.
What You’ll Do
Creative Strategy
- Strategize, ideate, and iterate for a wide range of scientific visual communication projects.
- Work collaboratively with key team members, including Creative Directors, Associate Creative Directors, Art Directors, Designers, Developers, Production Artists, Scientific Strategists, and Account/Project Management Teams.
Execution & Work Output
- Develop a strong understanding of the background and objectives of each assigned project.
- Attend and participate in project ideation, creative brainstorming, and internal project meetings; present work as requested.
- Conceptualize and explore creative solutions individually and/or with the production team.
- Adhere to pre‑established guidelines, instructions, aesthetic design concepts, and client branding/pharmaceutical guidelines.
- Execute the proper level of finish relative to the phase of development.
- Consider business objectives, user needs, and best practices/trends to influence creative decisions.
- Maintain detail orientation, balance multiple projects, and iterate quickly and cleanly.
- Follow organization conventions for file/server and naming conventions.
- Use designated company platforms/software to ensure smooth collaboration and file transition.
- Respond promptly to team requests via email, Teams chat, or calls.
- Deliver work‑in‑progress (WIP) and final deliverables by the assigned deadline.
- Provide progress updates at the frequency designated by the Art Director (AD).
- Flag concerns to the Art Director/Project Manager in a timely manner.
- Maintain a professional manner in a high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environment.
- Incorporate constructive feedback while upholding a positive attitude.
Client Engagement
- May shadow and/or participate in client meetings with guidance from supervisor, AD, and/or Account Lead.
- May participate in deliverable presentations and client reviews under guidance.
Professional Development
- Collaborate with supervisor on development of goals and progress.
- Contribute and/or provide feedback to supervisor, leadership, and fellow team members with a solution‑oriented focus.

What You Should Have
- Strong understanding of composition, design principles, typography, and content hierarchy.
- Solid experience in graphic/user interface design for desktop and mobile websites and applications, wireframes, site maps, prototypes, convention booth print and digital graphics (panels, kiosks, signage, etc.), medical campaign development, visual aids, storyboards, motion graphics, and print based experience including color conversion (spot, CMYK, RGB).
- Advanced experience with Adobe XD, Illustrator, Figma, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
- Ability to present design concepts to other team members.
- Good organization and communication skills (written and oral).
- Adept interpersonal skills and a desire to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Working knowledge in animation and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with experiential technology platforms (VR/AR/MR, etc.).
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2-4 years professional experience in a design studio environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, computer graphics or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Portfolio demonstrates exceptional creative execution and innovative solves to client problems or projects that show strategic and conceptual thinking.
Pay Range
$75,000 – $85,000
