Job summary

Under Armour, Inc. is seeking a Footwear Designer I to elevate our Outdoor footwear line. This role offers a hybrid schedule with 4 days in-office weekly and requires residing within commuting distance of our Baltimore office.

The candidate will develop sketches, renderings and technical drawings, collaborating with Marketing and Development to meet project goals and deliverables. 65k–90k USD base with competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• BA, BFA or BS in Industrial Design not required.
• 1+ yrs experience designing and developing innovative footwear and other products (this can include internships, school projects, etc.)
• Knowledge of form, color, materials, and human factors, related to elevating the consumer experience.
• Proficient Photoshop and Illustrator skills
• Working knowledge of 3D software is a plus
• Ability to create accurate 2D technical drawings
• Strong sketching, illustration, and rendering skills
• Introductory knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Must be able to generate a broad range of concepts and solutions for each project
• Hand prototyping skills are a plus
• Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote, Powerpoint, Acrobat, etc

Responsibilities

• Help to strengthen the UA footwear product engine from the design side, partnering directly with design leaders and teammates.
• Partner with product leadership to drive concepts for Outdoor footwear
• Work and collaborate inclusively with Marketing, and Development teams to meet project objectives.
• Lead creation of individual footwear projects and milestone deliverables.
• Develop and execute clear and detailed sketches, renderings and technical drawings.
• Present design project work within individual project teams, and at category design checkpoints.

We are searching for a Footwear Designer I to help elevate our Outdoor footwear line. Workplace Location

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimoreoffice.
• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week.

Base Compensation

$65,000.00-$90,000.00USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
