About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Designer to join our client's dynamic team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and coordinating multi-discipline Revit models and comprehensive construction documentation for large-scale industrial projects. This role involves integrating architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process systems to develop cohesive and compliant designs. The Designer will play a crucial role in ensuring that all project components align with safety protocols, industry standards, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative industrial projects, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of state-of-the‑art facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience utilizing Autodesk Revit, with a strong portfolio demonstrating extensive project involvement.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with advanced skills in creating detailed drawings and documentation.
• Experience designing and integrating industrial systems and facilities, including piping, instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical components.
• Advanced knowledge of Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is preferred.
• Working familiarity with SolidWorks or Inventor for model conversions and detailed component design.
• Understanding of industrial building systems, process integration, ventilation, and safety requirements.
• Experience with ductwork and pipe routing, supporting systems, and vehicle travel path layouts.
• Knowledge of material handling systems, electrical and lighting modeling, and plans.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure seamless design integration.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create and modify multi-discipline 3D Revit models, ensuring accurate representation of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and construction documentation that adhere to project specifications and industry standards.
• Integrate piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), electrical schematics, and equipment details into Revit models for comprehensive project coordination.
• Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to incorporate design inputs, resolve conflicts, and optimize project outcomes.
• Ensure all models and drawings meet safety protocols, industry standards, and company quality guidelines.
• Generate renderings and visualizations to support client presentations, design reviews, and project approvals.
• Address technical challenges and design issues throughout the project lifecycle, providing innovative solutions and adjustments as needed.
• Support project documentation and data management, maintaining version control and ensuring accuracy across all deliverables.
• Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and updates on design progress.
• Maintain awareness of evolving industry standards and incorporate best practices into design processes.
