Job summary

Story Co, a San Francisco based creative studio, seeks a Designer to craft visual work across brand, pitch decks, thumbnails, and social content. You will collaborate closely with marketing, motion, and client strategy teams to ensure every piece aligns with agency-level quality.

Applicants should have a strong portfolio in brand, social, and presentation design, be fluent in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, and be willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area if not already local.

Qualifications

• Solid portfolio spanning brand, social, and presentation design.
• Proficiency with Figma and/or Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Able to complete a paid design test as part of the hiring process.
• Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Design pitch decks, proposal templates, and internal presentations that are polished and on-brand.
• Build thumbnails, social graphics, and key art for Story's originals and client deliverables.
• Contribute to brand identity work — style guides, typography systems, color, layout.
• Collaborate with motion designers and editors to keep static and motion design cohesive.
• Manage files, versioning, and delivery timelines.
• Occasionally support client-facing decks and materials under deadline.

About Story

We're a San Francisco creative studio working with the most ambitious technology teams on the planet — the founders and engineers building the future before anyone else can see it. We capture their vision through brand films, product videos, documentary, animation, and content strategy — and we're building the defining agency for deep tech and science.

The Role

We're looking for a Designer to bring visual craft to everything Story touches — pitch decks, brand systems, thumbnails, social content, and the occasional print or web asset. You'll work closely with our marketing, motion, and client strategy teams to make sure every piece we ship looks like it belongs at an agency operating at Ogilvy scale.

What You'll Do

• Design pitch decks, proposal templates, and internal presentations that are polished and on-brand.
• Build thumbnails, social graphics, and key art for Story's originals and client deliverables.
• Contribute to brand identity work — style guides, typography systems, color, layout.
• Collaborate with motion designers and editors to keep static and motion design cohesive.
• Manage your own files, versioning, and delivery timelines.
• Occasionally support client-facing decks and materials under deadline.
