Position Summary

Execute assigned design tasks that contribute to the development of high-quality educational materials. The Designer I applies foundational layout and design principles to student and teacher content, working under the direction of a Design Lead or Manager. This role supports the broader design vision while growing in technical skill, creative judgment, and understanding of how visual communication serves both instructional clarity and biblical worldview goals.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities
  • Implement design templates, layout standards, and style guides for student and teacher editions, assessments, and other ancillary materials ensuring consistency across products
  • Collaborate with Design Leads, Design Teams, peers, and cross-functional product line teams to clarify goals and ensure alignment with instructional and biblical objectives
  • Prepare files accurately for review
  • Accept and apply feedback thoughtfully, refining work through multiple iterations
  • Maintain project organization and meet assigned deadlines
  • Contribute to team discussions, critiques, and knowledge-sharing opportunities
  • Demonstrate growth in design skill, software fluency, and understanding of company and industry publishing standards

  • Familiarity with print production tools and visual design fundamentals
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Willingness to grow through coaching, collaboration, and self-directed learning
