Job summary

Garver is seeking a Design Technology Specialist to support digital project delivery in North Little Rock, Tulsa, and other locations. You will organize CAD/BIM files, GIS content, and design documentation, while governing data across collaboration platforms and engineering workflows.

You will provide first-level user support, improve data quality, and help standardize processes with templates and training materials. Strong CAD/GIS tool experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate preferred in project management, CAD, GIS, or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM environments and digital delivery workflows.

• Create, organize, review, and maintain project workspaces, CAD/BIM files, design docs, GIS content, and reference files.
• Support project setup, permissions, metadata, standards, secure sharing, and data governance across tools (Forma, Egnyte, ArcGIS Online).
• Provide first-level user support for access requests, file management, workflow errors, and questions.
• Improve repeatable processes via templates, documentation, reporting, workflows, and basic automation.
• Create and maintain user guides, SOPs, diagrams, and training materials.

Design Technology Specialist

Location: North Little Rock, Fayetteville, Rogers, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, or Kansas City

Business line/Corporate Support: Information Technology

Reports to: IT Infrastructure Manager

Support role for digital project delivery. Helps project teams create, organize, govern, and maintain project data across collaboration platforms, design environments, GIS systems, and engineering workflows. This position provides first-level support, improves data quality, and strengthens consistency across project technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, organize, review, and maintain project workspaces, CAD/BIM files, design documentation, GIS content, and supporting reference files.


• Support project setup, permissions, metadata, standards, secure sharing, review workflows, and data governance across tools such as Forma, Egnyte, ArcGIS Online, and related platforms.


• Provide first-level user support for access requests, file management, reference file issues, workflow errors, and project technology questions.


• Improve repeatable processes through templates, documentation, reporting, workflow enhancements, and basic automation where appropriate.


• Create and maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, diagrams, and training materials that promote consistent digital delivery practices.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Associate degree or technical certificate preferred in project management, CAD, GIS, construction technology, engineering technology, information systems, or related field. 3+ years of relevant experience preferred.

• Familiarity with project setup, folder structures, naming conventions, reference files, CAD/BIM environments, document control, and digital delivery workflows.


• Experience with Forma, Egnyte, ArcGIS Online, ProjectWise, MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Power BI, Python, PowerShell, SQL, or similar tools is helpful but not required.


• Strong attention to detail, customer-service mindset, clear communication, troubleshooting ability, and interest in supporting engineering teams through practical technology solutions.
