Job summary

Gensler in New York is seeking a Digital Design Specialist to advance our BIM workflows and design technology ecosystem. You will act as the main point of contact for design teams, mentor project teams, and drive the migration to new digital design methods across the studio.

The role focuses on Revit leadership, BIM execution and content development, with a base salary estimated between 95k and 135k plus bonuses and benefits; experience and location determine final compensation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design; 10–15 years of relevant design/construction experience.
Expert knowledge of Autodesk Revit Architecture and Building Information Modeling.
Familiarity with Autodesk 360, Enscape, VRay, Navisworks, FormIt.
Familiarity with Computational Design tools like Dynamo and Grasshopper.
Strong communication to convey Digital Design concepts across teams.
Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable and highly professional.

Responsibilities

Lead Digital Design workflows and develop new BIM processes.
Lead Digital Design training for new hires and ongoing education.
Coach studios and individuals on best practices.
Develop documented processes and workflows.

This position will have relevant proficiency in the proposed BIM authoring and coordination software, with a primary focus on Revit. The individual shall serve as the main point of contact for Design Teams on the four DD areas listed above. The Digital Design Specialist will act as a mentor to project teams on the best practices of moving through the lifecycle of a project.Engage with all levels of studio members to rethink how technology impacts our everyday process and deliver new ways of working.

What You Will Do

Conduct research and development for new Digital Design workflows

Lead Digital Design training (new employee/continuing education)

Coach and support studios and individuals

Establish documented processes, procedures and workflows

Manage p roject te mplate s, mo del ma nagement and content development

Support development and compliance with the approved BIM Execution and BIM Scope Plans

Responsible for the development, coordination, publication, and verification that all necessary configurations required for seamless integration of design and construction model information have been implemented

Aid team s in BIM management

Lead teams in confirming that the four areas of Digital Design are used appropriately to test design requirements/criteria for functionality

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or equivalent, with 10-15 years of experiencein design or construction practice

Expert knowledge of and proven practical background in Autodesk Revit Architecture and relatedBuilding Information Modeling software

Familiarity with otherDesign and V isualization applications such as Autodesk 360 (Cloud Rendering), Enscape, VRay, Na visworks, FormIt, etc.

Familiarity withComputational Design applications such as Dynamo and Grasshopper, etc.

Articulate communicator able to conveyDigital Designconcepts to all levels of design and delivery professionals

Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree ofintegrity

**The base salary will be estimated between 95K-135k plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
