Job summary

Haworth, Inc. seeks a paid Design Technology Intern to join the Visualization team in Holland, MI. You will modernize the digital materials library and work onsite at Haworth Corporate Headquarters during a 12-week summer program.

You’ll evaluate digital finishes, prepare assets for platforms like SharePoint, CET/Canvas, SAP, and 3ds Max, and support production-ready materials for designers and internal teams. Approx. 50 interns participate, with workshops and NeoCon involvement.

Qualifications

  • Full-time college enrollment and junior status by Fall 2027.
  • Pursuing a degree in Digital Design, Visualization, Interior Design or related field.
  • Ability to work onsite in Holland, MI May–Aug 2027.
  • FM 100 color acuity assessment required post offer.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking fora paid Design Technology Intern to join our Visualization team in Holland, MI. This position will be working onsite at the Haworth Corporate Headquarters.

Job Overview

As a Design Technology intern on the Visualization team, you will have the opportunity to modernize Haworth's legacy digital materials library. You'll work with existing material assets, evaluating and updating digital finishes to improve quality, consistency, and usability across the business. This work will help expand the library of approved digital materials while reducing technical debt and ensuring assets meet current visualization standards. You'll also support the publishing and distribution of digital materials across Haworth's digital ecosystem. This includes preparing approved material assets for platforms such as SharePoint, our websites, CET/Canvas, SAP, 3ds Max, and other systems used throughout the organization. Your work will have a direct impact, enabling designers, customers, and internal teams to access and utilize accurate, production-ready digital material. Get ready for an adventurous summer as a Haworth intern! You'll join a cohort of around 50 other dynamic interns for a 12-week program packed with meaningful projects and weekly learning opportunities. You'll attend NeoCon, the largest commercial design event in the world, where you will get an insider's look at all the latest industry trends and innovations. Sharpen your skills with interactive workshops on networking, public speaking, and using AI tools in a business environment. Connect with mentors and see all areas of the office and manufacturing processes. Then unwind at intern-only social events where you can meet people from all corners of the business. Required Qualifications


  • Full-time college enrollment, working towards a bachelor's degree in Digital Design, Visualization, Interior Design, Creative Technologies, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Architecture, Industrial Design, Game Design or related field with at least a junior level status by Fall of 2027.

  • Ability to work onsite in Holland, MI from May 2027 to August 2027.

  • Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position.

  • As an essential function, the selected candidate will be required to complete the Farnsworth Munsell (FM 100) advanced color acuity assessment, post offer, but pre-placement/pre-employment. This assessment requires the ability to differentiate colors, shades and tints, with or without a reasonable accommodation.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Overall GPA of 2.95 or higher.

  • Prior Haworth experience.

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD.

  • Experience with 3D modeling.

  • Previous Employment experience.

  • Experience with SAP software.

  • Extra-curricular activity experience such as athletics, clubs, volunteer work, etc.


Ideally, You Have Also Demonstrated The Following


  • Ability to manage assigned projects to completion.

  • Working knowledge of business software applications, including Microsoft Excel.

  • Desire to learn, question, and research solutions to problems.

  • Organized with the ability to manage deadlines.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
