Job summary

Figma is seeking a Design Manager to lead its internal Design Systems and Design Infrastructure, shaping foundations, tokens, components, and tooling that power millions of experiences. This senior role guides multiple design workstreams and partners with Design, Product, and Engineering to scale quality and coherence.

Based in the United States, this full-time position can be remote from US hubs or fully remote, with a focus on transforming systems for faster, more consistent product delivery

Qualifications

• 4+ years of design management experience with multi-team leadership.
• Experience evolving internal design systems at scale and driving adoption.
• Strong knowledge of design foundations, tokens, variables, component libraries, and tooling, plus AI-enabled workflows.
• Hands-on Figma expertise with end-to-end ownership of design infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow designers across Design Systems foundations and tooling.
• Set vision and quality bar for design system evolution and adoption.
• Partner with Design, Product, and Engineering leaders on strategy and execution.
• Bring clarity to cross-functional work while maintaining product autonomy.
• Evolve governance, contribution paths, reviews, and documentation for design systems.
• Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team across workstreams.
