Slate in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Design Project Manager to lead design programs from concept through execution. You will create and update task-based plans, coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in product development, preferably automotive design, with a Bachelor’s in design, engineering, or business. Proficiency with Microsoft Project or Monday is expected, along with strong communication and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a professional product development environment, ideally in an automotive design studio.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, Engineering or Business disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Creating, reviewing and updating task-based project plans, reflecting changes in scope or schedule to ensure that the project stays on track.
• Communicating with key stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status.
• Communicating with team members to ensure deadlines are met, issues resolved, and procedures followed.
• Managing project budgets by tracking progress and expenditure against plan.
• Reviewing project deliveries to ensure they meet defined scope of requirements.
• Scheduling resources, both internal and external to support Design team deliverables.
• Liaising with stakeholders, including other internal teams and external partners, to align inputs, deliverables and dependencies.
