Mortenson in Minneapolis, MN, seeks an experienced Design Phase Executive I to lead design-phase activities in our Power Delivery group. You will mentor teams, oversee budgets and schedules, and ensure alignment with project execution plans, while communicating across owners, architects, engineers, and partners.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive design-build experience, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects with integrity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, civil, or architectural engineering or equivalent.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem solving and leadership.
• Ability to handle complex development responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners during design phase.
• Oversee project budget, scope, and communications.
• Manage project schedule through people management and tracking.
• Ensure regulatory approvals and permits are obtained.
• Align design documents with the project execution plan.
• Resolve design and specification concerns.
• Review margin plans and develop financial strategies.
• Establish and monitor success factors for stakeholders.
• Create integrated team experience with clear roles and communication.
