Jacobs is seeking a Design Management Professional for the Pacific Northwest region in a hybrid role. You will guide design delivery, lead planning, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex manufacturing projects.

Ideal candidates have engineering credentials, 7+ years in project management for semiconductor facilities, and strong stakeholder communication skills to drive successful outcomes.

As a Design Management Professional, you’ll join our collaborative team providing our clients with award-winning planning, engineering, architectural design, and design-build project delivery. We are looking for a passionate Design Management Professional in our Pacific Northwest region who is driven by collaboration, exceeding expectations, and challenging the status quo. This is a Hybrid position.

• Know the status of all work.

• Work within a coherent production system and work coordination routines.
• Utilize and improve production systems that serve the team. Ensure their effective use.
• Engage performers, discipline leads, project leadership, and discipline management for enrollment, encouragement, and directives to engage effectively in planning.
• Lead recurring planning sessions and Daily Check-ins.
• Facilitate scope breakdown and work-structuring to enable a coordinated flow of small multidiscipline batches of work.
• Guide the team and leadership in the prioritization of work. Respond with agility to evolving project needs.

• Integrate stakeholders, including Trade Partners, into the design process.
• Coordinate trade constructability engagement with design.
• If trades are performing design, ensure that their work satisfies next-customer needs and that trade commitments are managed.

• Responsible for technical quality assurance and control.
• Ensure that required reviews occur and are documented, and that appropriate registered professionals stamp work. Always move the team toward building quality into the work.
• Responsible for package ownership and production, deliverables issuance, and coordinating documentation. Manage preparation, facilitation, and adjudication of customer design reviews. Prepare meeting notes.
• Work with design disciplines and design partners to forecast staffing needs, resolve staffing gaps, and forecast effort to complete. Lead scope and cost change management. Prepare and negotiate changes.

Here’s what you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline or 10 years of Industrial Advanced Technology experience in design
• Minimum 7 years of experience in managing projects or relevant experience related to industrial semiconductor facilities

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsForward-thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden the knowledge base
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience with the design of hazardous chemicals and gases used in semiconductor fabs

The base salary range for this position is $144,600.00 to $198,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
