Job summary

KALCON is seeking a Design Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design coordination on a hyperscale data center build from concept through construction administration, acting as Owner’s Representative. You will ensure schedules, documentation, and timely submittal closure, liaising between Project/Construction Management and the A/E team to maintain design clarity and cost-aware delivery.

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 7–10 years in design management for mission-critical or data center projects.
• Proven coordination with A/E partners and subcontractors; manage submittals/RFIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-discipline design coordination across multiple EORs and subs.
• Drive submittal and shop drawing closure; chair weekly coordination meetings and publish minutes.
• Track design packages, base-build vs tenant fit-out scopes, and lessons learned.
