Job summary

System One is seeking an IS Design Manager to lead design production from development handoff to construction closeout, ensuring on-time delivery and energy outcomes while guiding the project team.

This onsite, Salt Lake City area role reports to the project leadership and requires strong leadership, communication, and safety focus.

Bachelor's degree in engineering plus 5+ years in design related roles, with proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of design-related experience with mechanical, electrical, building automation systems, programming, or building operation management experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Assist in tracking labor hours and budgets, review time entries for accuracy, and contribute to resource planning.
• Facilitate clear communication between staff, project managers, and leadership, and support client interactions under supervision.

Overview

The IS Design Manager is responsible for the design production throughout the life cycle of a project from development handoff to construction closeout. This position ensures that the project is delivered efficiently and effectively in accordance with the schedule and energy outcomes while exceeding the client’s expectations. The manager is also responsible for the utilization of the production staff assigned to the project team.
