Responsibilities
Support design leadership in maintaining best-in-class performance and advancing Blue Heron’s growth and brand through integrated operations, team alignment, and proactive problem solving.
Incorporate Blue Heron design standards for conceptual design integration and support best practices development and documentation.
Oversee that design direction aligns with Blue Heron design ethos.
Ensure project team adherence to design tools, processes, and standards to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. This includes, but is not limited to:
Guarantee accuracy of collateral from Design to support the Sales & Marketing Teams.
Collaborate and coordinate with Visualization for Luminary homes.
Create and manage Discovery assets as required by Discovery and Sales teams, including, but not limited to, presentations, lot fits, and KMZ view studies.
Positively and actively collaborate with leadership and cross-departmentally with teams to ensure adherence to internal processes and quality standards.
Provide insight on project and Blue Heron design ethos as needed by the Sales and Marketing teams.
Manage designer staff and workload distribution.
Train, coach, and mentor designer staff.
Interview, hire, mentor, and train qualified design team roles.
Create, monitor, maintain, update, and train processes and procedures for all design related tasks.
Encourage routine and consistent use of design software including SketchUp, Revit and Bluebeam.
Collaborate within design teams to ensure processes and procedures are implemented with project teams.
Provide architectural design direction and oversight for Luminary homes.
‘Moderator’ of the BH Design Committee, actively calibrating the committee members to the priorities of the day.
Perform as a designer as needed or required on high profile projects.
Present SketchUp models and visualization assets to potential clients for Luminary homes.
Requirements

Minimum 6+ years residential and/or hospitality architectural experience in an architecture or hands‑on homebuilding/construction organization with 3+ years of architectural management experience.
Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from an accredited Architecture program.
Architectural Registration preferred, or on track for Architectural licensure.
Routine use of software including Sketchup, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (Familiarity with Revit, Adobe Suite, Lumion, Enscape Preferred).
