Job summary

Qualifications

Terminal degree (MFA or MDes) or one semester of teaching design at a degree‑granting institution.
Three or more years of professional experience in design practice.
Awareness of educational goals of a multicultural population and inclusive teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

Teach graphic design, motion design, and/or user interaction design with a solid foundation in visual, analytical, and communication skills.
Teach studio and/or lecture courses within area of expertise (motion graphic design, new media design, user experience design, typography, etc.).
Participate in sophomore, junior, and senior portfolio reviews each semester (1–2 days).
Organize all classes within the Canvas LMS and ensure they run as scheduled across modalities (asynchronous, synchronous, bichronous, in-person, or hybrid).
Share undergraduate student review responsibilities as needed.
