Job summary

Element Brooklyn is seeking a part-time Design Intern to join our design team, shaping packaging, digital ads, e-commerce, and print assets. You’ll work across product labels, landing pages, and retail decks, thriving in a fast-growing brand environment.

Based in or near Brooklyn, you’ll be on-site 2–3 days per week at our Bushwick office, collaborating closely with the Creative Director and the wider team on visual systems and marketing materials.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing range across digital and physical design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
• Comfort working with AI design tools.
• Good eye for composition, scale, balance, typography, layout, and brand consistency.
• Based in or near Brooklyn, able to be on-site 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Create digital ad creative for paid social and display campaigns
• Help design packaging and labels for new products (and refine existing ones)
• Research new directions for our packaging, including materials, formats, finishes, references
• Help design email campaigns and templates
• Help design print collateral like sell sheets, postcards, event materials
• Contribute to brand guidelines and visual systems as we grow
• Collaborate on UX improvements to our Shopify site
• Work directly with our Creative Director

The role

We’re looking for a part-time Design Intern to join our design team and work on visual design across the company: packaging, e-commerce, ads, print, and whatever else comes up.

On any given week you might be designing a new product label, mocking up landing pages, building out ad creative for Meta campaigns, or creating assets for a retail pitch deck. We’re looking for someone energized by variety and excited to shape how a growing brand shows up in the world.

What you’ll do

• Create digital ad creative for paid social and display campaigns


• Help design packaging and labels for new products (and refine existing ones)


• Research new directions for our packaging, including materials, formats, finishes, references


• Help design email campaigns and templates


• Help design print collateral like sell sheets, postcards, event materials


• Contribute to brand guidelines and visual systems as we grow


• Collaborate on UX improvements to our Shopify site


• Work directly with our Creative Director

Compensation

$25/hour, 2–3 days per week, in person at our Bushwick office (75 Stewart Ave). The internship runs about 3 months, with a flexible start date. We’re a small team looking to grow with this person and hope to be able to offer ongoing employment for anyone who successfully completes the internship program.

What we’re looking for

Required:

• Portfolio showing range across digital and physical design

• Based in or near Brooklyn, able to be on-site 2–3 days per week

Preferred:

• Packaging design experience


• Basic motion/animation skills (After Effects or similar)


• Experience with Fusion 360, Blender, or other CAD/3D tools
