Job summary

Credence has an immediate need for a Design Interface Support Manager at the principal level, based at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role concentrates on supporting AFLCMC/LG with product support tasks and requires deep USAF lifecycle and systems engineering knowledge to ensure weapon system availability and sustainment.

The ideal candidate will lead training, risk management, and process improvements while coordinating with DoD stakeholders and program offices, leveraging extensive experience

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance (or higher) verifiable in DISS.
• 5+ years of USAF program office experience or similar.
• Expert knowledge of USAF systems engineering processes.
• Experience with reliability, maintainability, and supportability concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with logistics support and guidance to program offices for product support tasks.
• Develop and deliver training documentation and on-site/virtual training.
• Perform control activities: schedule monitoring, progress tracking, and risk management.
• Develop tools and processes to standardize product support across AFLCMC.
• Create guides, standards, contract language, templates, and metrics for product support health.
• Provide outreach by responding to questions and supporting program offices.
• Coordinate with DoD offices, AF leadership, and major commands as required.
• Participate in staff visits, briefings, and coordination of tasks upon request.

Position Summary

Credence has an immediate need for a Design Interface Support Manager at the principal level who will be primarily responsible for supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC/LG) directorate at Wright Patterson AFB, OH.

AFLCMC is responsible for the life cycle management of Air Force weapon systems from their inception to retirement. The AFLCMC motto is: "AFLCMC - providing what warfighters need, when they need it!" This motto reflects the center's commitment to delivering the resources necessary to organize, train, and equip the Air Force. AFLCMC's mission is to acquire and support war-winning capabilities, ensuring that all aspects of the weapon systems life cycle are managed effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

• Assist with providing logistics support and guidance to program offices in the execution of product support tasks
• Develop and provide training, including training documentation and on-site and/or virtual training for program offices
• Perform control activities, including schedule monitoring, progress monitoring, fielding questions, and risk management
• Assist with developing tools and center-level processes to standardize key product support procedures across AFLCMC and support program office execution of product support tasks
• Develop and maintain guides, standards/specifications, contract language, models, templates, and metrics to assess the health of product support within the center
• Provide program office outreach support by responding to questions, conducting research, and assisting program and staff offices with product support activities
• Coordinate and engage with the Office of the Secretary of Defense, defense agencies, Headquarters Air Force, Secretary of the Air Force, major commands, AFMC centers, and AFLCMC program offices, as required
• Participate in staff assistance/site visits, conduct informational briefings, facilitate meetings, and coordinate task activities in support of program or staff offices upon Government request

Requirements

• Must have an active or current Secret security clearance (or higher), verifiable in the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)

• Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least twenty (20) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, twelve (12) years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
• OR bachelor's degree in a related field and twenty (25) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, fifteen (15) years of which must be in the DoW/DoD
• OR thirty (30) years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, twenty (20) years of which must be in the DoW/DoD

Specialized Knowledge and Experience Required:

• At least five years of experience in, and working knowledge of, a USAF program office or USAF program acquiring, fielding, and sustaining weapons and/or support systems
• Expert knowledge of USAF systems engineering processes to impact design from inception throughout the life cycle, facilitating supportability to maximize system availability, effectiveness, and capability at the lowest total ownership cost
• Knowledge of efforts related to designing for sustainment and integrating quantitative systems engineering design characteristics, such as reliability and maintainability, with integrated product support elements
• Ability to ensure design interface reflects the relationship of system design parameters to product support resource and mission requirements, ensuring weapon systems meet availability and sustainment goals while balancing design and support costs
• Knowledge and skills in reliability, maintainability, supportability, integrated product support elements, affordability, configuration management, safety requirements, environmental and hazardous material requirements, Human Systems Integration, Anti-Tamper, habitability, disposal, and legal requirements
• Subject matter expertise and technical experience in acquisition logistics and day-to-day management of the 12 product support/integrated logistics support elements: Supply Support; Technical Data and Technical Data Management; Maintenance Planning and Management; Product Support Management; Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation; Design Interface; Sustaining Engineering; Computer Resources; Facilities and Infrastructure; Manpower and Personnel; Support Equipment; and Training and Training Support
