Job summary

Newell Brands seeks a Manager, Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to own the development and deployment of the DFM program within ERA. You will partner with NPD, MDC, Operations and cross-functional teams to embed manufacturability early in product development, drive gate reviews, and escalate risks.

Travel to Newell manufacturing and development sites is required. Define DFM KPIs, build SME networks, and deliver training to improve cost, lead time and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, product development, or operations in consumer/products manufacturing.
• Experience with DFM/DFX disciplines and embedding manufacturability in NPD processes.
• Experience with concurrent engineering, stage-gated NPD processes, and program governance across sites.

Responsibilities

• Own DFM program development, deployment, and KPI tracking from idea through launch.
• Lead cross-functional DFM reviews with Product Development, ERA, Packaging, and Finance; drive decisions and escalation when at risk.
• Develop SME networks and guidelines for DFM reviews and training to improve manufacturability and cost.
